- Good, but very busy
Mildreds is very busy and doesn't take bookings, so, despite arriving before 6pm, we could only squeeze in just next to the bar and spent most of the evening being jostled by passers by and drowned out by the people crammed in waiting for a table. However, the menu is very tempting and the food was great - I had the mushroom and ale pie, which was generously sized and really tasty, followed by a heavenly slice of pecan pie for dessert. The staff were friendly and prompt, but it didn't feel like the kind of place where you could easily linger and enjoy a leisurely evening, unfortunately.
