  • Nice afternoon tea

I've been to the upstairs room for a Sunday roast dinner before, and on a separate occasion for afternoon tea. It's a really nice room, decked out for the 1940s with mismatched crockery and old fashioned music - I really love it. There's always a hen party or birthday party up there, but it's always quiet and civilised too. The Sunday roast was really nice, especially the beetroot ravioli starter. And it was my first ever vegan afternoon tea, so it was very special. Actually I've had better cakes before, and the sandwiches were only cucumber rather than throwing in another option. Still, for the occasion it was worth it and I really enjoyed it.
