  • Great new cafe

My partner and I have visited Tsp a few times since it opened in the autumn. There's usually at least one type of vegan cake available - I tried the cookies and cream cupcake and it's as good as it looks. The café does look quite small from the outside, and there's around five tables plus a window-facing row. Inside though it feels really light and open, with large windows, making it seem much bigger while also ideal if you want to gaze outside and watch the people of sunny Stoke-on-Trent go by! So far I've tried their soya hot chocolate, a latte and a fruit tea, which have all tasted good and been large portion sizes. Prices are similar to many coffee shops, leaning more towards the lower end, which makes a welcome change. Beyond the range of cakes there isn't much else food-wise, so it'd be lovely to see some savoury / light meal options added to make it a much-needed vegan-friendly place to get lunch in the city centre. Sometimes the only vegan cakes contain nuts, which unfortunately stops me being able to eat there on those days due to allergies, which is a shame. It's becoming my "go to" place when up Hanley - it's worth a visit if you're around the area.
