We went to Gaia because the nearby vegetarian places listed appeared to have closed down. It's a large, fairly basic and traditional-looking restaurant which offers an extensive menu (mostly variations on a theme). However, the food was pricey and turned out to be average at best with little taste. We were still hungry even after scoffing the bread and the olives included in the cover charge and a shared dessert. The dishes we chose were so unexciting, I can't even remember what we had. I admire what they're doing, particularly in such a carnivorous country, but the focus should be on taste as well as variety. We had some lovely vegetarian food in non-veg restaurants.
