  • Only 6 Veggie items on menu , but beautiful inside

We visited this beautiful restaurant over Xmas 2008 during a vacation to Berlin. The interior decor is immaculate, and very carefully chosen. Lovely colour theme, fabrics, and sculptures inside. A lot of veggie restaurants seem to close in Berlin over Xmas, but not this one! We were very impressed with how beautiful the interior of restaurant was, however, they had only 6 items in total that were veggie on the menu. The rest were non-veg. However, the food was gorgeous - huge portions, super yummy, and presented with origami vegetables/salad (i.e. radish cut out like a flower). Even the table napkins were folded into origami flowers. However, you are paying for that decadence & atmosphere - meals quite expensive compared to other veggie restaurants in Berlin (see my other reviews eg Samadhi). Staff were friendly enough, and restaurant was easy to find. Due to the large portion sizes, you could just stick with main course, and skip starters/dessert. The two of us spent about 40 euros for a starter & mains; drinks and dessert were extra. As nice a touch as the interior decor was, i would rather have paid to have more vegetarian selection on the menu, or go to an all-veggie restaurant like Samadhi.
