  • A Little Piece Of Paradise

We stayed at The Lodge for two weeks in January 2015. We were immediately blown away by the Lodge and it's location, both rooms offering stunning sea views. The Lodge is run by Mark with assistance from his son Matthew, both of whom are awfully friendly, helpful and engaging guys. The food is freshly prepared by Mark who is an extremely accomplished vegan chef, we found his creations imaginative, creative and of course very tasty. This being our first trip to Grenada we spent most of our days lounging on Grenada's many beautiful beachs but we could have quite happily spent all our time at The Lodge, either on the large balcony watching the world go by or sunning ourselves beside the surprising long pool. In keeping with the owner's desire to minimise the impact to the environment the room does not have air conditioning, this was a slight concern to us before arriving at The Lodge as we have stayed in rooms without air con in hot climates and it has been unbearably hot at night making it difficult to sleep. We need not have worried however as although it is warm at night The Lodge's location atop of a hill meant nice cooling breezes abound, this along with the room's excellent ventilation ensured that a good night sleep was had by all.  If you are a vegetarian or vegan and you haven't tried The Lodge you are really missing out. Stunning scenery, great food and owners who really go out of their way to ensure you have a relaxing, peaceful as well as fun time.
