- Very veg friendly old English pub
This lovely old 16th Century pub does sell meat but they also have a dedicated vegetarian board and a vegetarian owner. If this were in a city centre that would be no big deal but out in the countryside of Buckinghamshire this is incredibly rare! I had a delicious veg chilli (vegan without the sour cream) in the bar area. It has everything you'd expect from a traditional country pub - low beams, antique weaponry on the walls, open fire, lots of dogs, great gardens and a large car park. If you are in the area and looking for a country pub experience without the 'beef-on-beef' menu then you'd do well to visit.
