- Cockroach encounter during dinner
My family shared a few vegan dishes here that were okay, nothing spectacular. We will never go back there, however, as a cockroach slowly crawled up the wall right next to me during our meal. We shooed it away and told our server about it, and he was apologetic and nice about it, but I was pretty grossed out and stopped eating at that point. With Araya's Place in the nearby U District serving much better (in our opinion) vegan Thai cuisine, there is no reason for us to ever go back to Jhanjay.
