  • Fantastic vegan place!!!

I absolutely enjoyed my experience at Green Bites! It is such a delightful place! The interior is very modern and fresh, yet cozy, and the music was just perfect - modern, relaxing, not too loud. Staff are very friendly and explained the options to me. I chose the soup of the day and a sandwich, and finished it off with a hot chocolate. The soup was a sweet potato soup with cocos and it was honestly the best soup I have eaten in my life so far! The sandwich was a falafel sandwich with vegan tzatziki and it tasted very yummy and was a change to your average sandwich you get in many shops. You can order the hot chocolate with many kinds of vegan milk, such as soy milk, vanilla soy milk, almond milk, rice milk and so on - I decided to try the macadamia milk because I'd never heard of that before! The taste of the drink was quite unusual and not as creamy as I had hoped for, but once I got used to the taste of the nuts mixed with the chocolate, I enjoyed it very much. In addition, prices are absolutely low as well, my bill came to just over 10€ and according to my personal experience so far you would absolutely pay more for this in most vegan restaurants around Europe. It's located in the Viertel, a lively quarter of Bremen, but if you're at the central station or the old town, it's just a few tram stops away. Take a tram and get off at St Jürgen-Strasse, and it's only a 30 seconds walk from there. I will be back for sure!
