- Some of the best food in Manhattan. Period.
All 100% vegan! The barbecue soy drumsticks are by far the best mock meat I've ever tasted. There is an overwhelming variety of menu options -- ethnic and American staples, including yummy chickpeas, collard greens, curried potatoes, brown rice, stuffed peppers, many styles of mock meats -- which makes it hard to choose. But since all of the entrees are wholesome and tasty, you can't go wrong. Also, the servings are very generous. Uptown Juice Bar is about a 25 minute walk from Columbia campus. The place is always bustling, and the staff are friendly. The serving area is a bit narrow and can become crowded, but there is a bright and comfortable dining area in the back. Definitely worth the trip uptown!
