  • Ok-ish, overpriced

The atmosphere is very comfortable, pleasing and chill, staff are friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of vegan dishes. The dish I had (a pasta) was not particularly flavorful and very oily. As in- swimming in a slippery sea, and not in a pleasant way (nor was the oil flavorful). The accompanying bread/toast was a bit styrofoamy (white bread? sigh) and underwhelming. If this was a 6-8 dollar meal I wouldn't gripe... too much. Nor would I be inspired to go back. At 17-21 a dish, higher standards apply and so far they haven't met those. If anyone has been to (the not long lived) Nutshell in Portland then you'll have an idea of the flavor, inventiveness and presentation I'm comparing Plum against (since Plum is clearly aspiring to fancy-fru-fru-classiness). Note - I've only been there once so far, so this may not be a statistically significant sample size. Nevertheless, I was not blown away.
