  • Decent enough, but there are better veg-only buffets

Generally, the first 80% of items in the buffet line are vegetarian, and vegan stuff is marked vegan - the last few have chicken or fish. Food is decent enough - nothing fancy. But it's quite a limited range. And I've been coming here for over a decade on and off and I've never seen any monkeys! In early 2023, all three buffets I've visited - this, Saude De Panela, Ramma - are around R$90 per kilo, which is fairly outrageous considering comparable vegetarian and vegan buffets in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro this month were R$50 to R$65. This place isn't even fully veg. Conventional non-veg places in Salvador are under half this price. Given that Saude Na Panela is higher quality with a much wider range of choices and you don't have to watch out for meat and fish, then I don't know why you would come here, other than if (as I am) you're staying at the Ibis or Mercure a hundred yards away. Ramma is significantly better than this too. Manjericao is a distant third of the three. Updated from previous review on 2023-03-30
