- great food, great atmosphere
The food & service here was very good and very good value, but the best thing is the atmosphere: on my various visits i shared a table with an English-speaking monk from a nearby Tibetan buddhist temple and with young, hip, and older, weathered & beaded Tibetans - what lovely people and what a special treat! Upstairs is more private (with banquet rooms) and views over the market street and mountains. Wow! The place is welcoming to everybody (but most customers were Tibetan), with dishes ranging from very cheap to moderately expensive, meaning that the poor rub shoulders with the wealthier locals (and the rare visitor like me!), in a very warm & cosy atmosphere.
