  • Delicious and One of a Kind

My husband and I are biking the West Coast and stopped in Lincoln City after a long day of cycling. We were stoked to find Aunt Mary's here on happycow and hastened to check it out. Aunt Mary's is a one of a kind place. Part vegetarian restaurant, part sex shop, it was unlike anywhere we'd ever been. Aunt Mary herself welcomed us in, asked us if we were vegan or vegetarian, then told us the offerings off the top of her head. She walked back behind the counter, where she had a stove, and started cooking everything up. She told us there was a lot to see and we should look around, and we gladly obliged. After browsing the entertaining knick knacks and stickers, we returned to our table. Aunt Mary brought over a bowl of soup, which was incredible. We finished it off quickly and looked around some more while she cooked up the entrees. I had the hummus wrap, which was quite tasty, and my husband had the special, which had hummus, a quinoa salad, tofu pate, and awesome barbecued baked beans. We liked it so much we came back again the next day and were equally impressed. If you let the somewhat risque setting deter you, you'll be missing out on some of the tastiest vegetarian food Oregon has to offer.
