  • A Must For Any Vegan Visiting Brighton

I Went to Vbites at it's new location on East Street this week. I had one of the best vegan burgers I've had since a veggie burger in California a few years back. Even though I live in London surprisingly a good vegan burger is hard to find. I had the 'Classic Vbeefy Burger' it came in a toasted bun, with salad vegan coleslaw and a choice of skinny fries or sweet potato fries. 'My boyfriend had the Vbites classic homemade bean burger' we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. For desert we shared a slice of the 'Chocolate and beet root cake' in the past having tried quite a few cakes with vegetable ingredients and not being hugely impressed, this was amazing! Very moist and light. In london we do have a lot of fantastic vegan cake shops so I felt I had a lot to compare it to. It was very very good! Next time I'm in Brighton I'll defiantly be coming again. From talking to some of the staff, to my surprise not many of them seemed to be vegetarian let alone vegan. - however I do believe the head chef is a vegan. I think even though they were all friendly and helpful I think it would be good to employe more vegan/veggies, they would have have that natural passion and understanding for vegan food. Vegsnisum is very much a way of life as well as a specific diet. I think it would be nice to have more people who had the same philosophy/ mind set that the Vbites as a brand and restaurant stands for.
