While that makes some sense, as you said, if someone hasn’t visited and doesn’t know outright that they’d be sitting at a coffee table for dinner, that’s a problem. It should be mentioned when booking. In reality those tables are only suitable for coffee and snacks - it’s an inappropriate place to seat people for a nice dinner. But thank you for clarifying.
