this volunteer was patronizing and machist from the beginning. maybe he felt that as he is older and we share the same nationality he could order everybody around. after arrival he failed to present himself to work for 4 days and claimed he needed a further week,on a 15 days exchange base, before he could even start. that did not work for me, as i cannot afford to feed and shelter smeone for free without work in exchange. when i suggested that it was better to attend an hospital if he was so sick to need to stay in bed for a week, this man started to threaten me he was going to go around the internet writing bad rewieves if he could not stay for free as long as he wished and at his own conditions. I really felt unsafe so for the well being of my customers and volunteers i decided to call the police, if he would not leave. regarding the food, we only serve vegan food t customers and provide rice, beans and vegetables to volunteers but the shared kitchen is open to all kind of food, we just do not sell non vegan food. definitely will think twice before accepting a volunteer. it was creepy
