Great point. I feel that good service includes friendliness. If I ask for water and it comes with an eye roll for example, sure they could be having a bad day or just being honest about their feeling, but it leaves me (the customer) feeling unwelcomed and like I’m not free to express my needs. I notice customers are also less likely to ask for what they want, which is strange when paying for food and service. It’s not a service I care to pay for.
