Thank you for visiting Curio, and we hope that you enjoyed your trip to Kanazawa! Please allow me to respond to your review of our cafe. Curio is not primarily a vegetarian restaurant, nor have we ever advertised ourselves as such. In fact I estimate that roughly one in every 500 of the people visiting our cafe have a dietary restriction that would require them to seek out such a place. Nontheless we certainly empathize with the difficulties faced by Vegetarian/Vegan/gluten and lactose intolerant individuals traveling in japan. For this reason we have included menu items that fulfill the dietary requirements of these customers, (such as our Quinoa Salad Plate, Hummus Plate, and Yuko’s Kick Ass Vegen Chili) and they have proven to be equally popular with our non-vege guests as well. I am disappointed by your assertion that I was somehow dishonest whether our bread was vegan. If I seemed unsure, it was simply because we serve 3 different kinds of bread here, and I searching my memory bank to makes certain that it was indeed vegan friendly. and I apologise if it appeared that I was fabricating my answer. I have double checked with my baker, and he has assured me that both our sandwich rolls and Baguette are vegan friendly. Thanks again for visiting Curio!
