Chris, what a disappointing response to a genuine and constructive review. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot! Why would you want to forget the review when it's constuctive? Turn a negative into a positive! My wife and i (both vegan) came to your restaurant on Wednesday evening 30th Sept., 7.30 booking, if you wish to find us in your system. The venue is quite nice. (paper napkins??) The prices are quite high, which one doesn't mind, knowing that most ingredients are local and maybe organic. But, when paying over £100 for two meals we expected the 'wow' factor in the food. Not quite there Chris! Yes, I appreciate that we should have flagged up any issues we had on the evening. Judging by your reply to the previous review, I am pleased that we didn't! So, the cauliflower Manchurian was nice.....Don't recall there being any curry sauce on it as stated in the menu, but i may have missed that one. It was simply nice. My wife had the Gem Tacos,,,,which were ok but underwhelming. Not a bad start. The food was served in a timely manner and the waitresses were very pleasant and professional. I had the Baked Burrito Enchilada. This was the most disappointing part of my meal. Dry and hardly any filling, sauce or cheese as per the menu. £21 for that was very poor! I am sorry that i didn't mention this at the time. My wife had the Glazed Okonomiyaki. It was ok ( I had a sample) but not as special as we expected. We had the skin on fries which were ok but were from the freezer and not home made. For desert we shared the Pear and Date Crumble with custard. Really enjoyed that! It was extremely nice. So, to cap it all. The starters we nice, the desert VERY nice, but... The main courses were really underwhelming and mine was very disappointing. I am sure that Chris and his team can do much better than our experience. Looking at the other reviews it would seem that we were simply unlucky. There are not enough small independent cafe/restaurants out there and I do realise that its a tough business and getting tougher. (I think we are all in the same boat being self employed!) but prices should reflect quality and innovation. I think we would try again, perhaps at lunch time. Chris, someone being honest and costructive about their experience should motivate you to find out what went wrong and sort it for next time.... Wishing you all the very best
