Dear foon, Thank you for your feedback. We have to admit we were quite surprised by the harshness of this review, especially as some of the criticism seems to be based on a misunderstanding of the dishes. Our broccoli is not supposed to be grilled in BBQ sauce. As stated on the menu, it is marinated and then grilled over a charcoal BBQ. The sauce served with it is our homemade satay sauce, so perhaps there was simply a misreading of the description. Regarding the tacos being “below average”, we would genuinely be curious to know what you are comparing them to. Our food is not intended to reproduce a particular Tex-Mex standard, but rather to combine different ingredients and influences in our own way. And as for lentils not being a “natural combination” with plant-based chicken nuggets, we’re not quite sure why they shouldn’t be. Lentils are a very common legume in France, and we are actually proud to serve them: the ones we use are local and organic. For us, plant-based cooking is precisely about being able to create combinations beyond the usual conventions. We’re glad you enjoyed the mushrooms and especially the grilled peach, even if we would like to think there is a little more to our dessert than simply “it’s hard to go wrong with a summer peach.” 🙂 BBetter’s Team (we’ll keep aiming for Better than “meh.”)
