Dear Sam, Our tomato base is made with San Marzano tomatoes. These tomatoes are the most flavorful ones, coming from south of Italy, near Naples. These are the same ones that have been used in there for many generations, and are the most appreciated ones in the world of pizza. I hope this helps. Maybe you are used to some sauces with additives, but we go with the real best tomatoes in the world! Thanks for the review!
