I learned this in Vietnam too so I’ll add this explanation for whoever reads this and is put off by it: you’re supposed to wait a bit and let the ice melt. that’s when you should start drinking the coffee. It’s basically designed for the hot weather. It’s actually very common to do this in Vietnam, not just with this place. I was also very disappointed the first time I got served coffee like that, but my partner luckily knew how it works :-)
