I wanted to share some context about our portions and pricing that might be helpful for future guests reading this: Our dishes are carefully portioned for a three-course meal - most guests find two courses filling, though we do offer snacks for those with heartier appetites. This is standard for restaurants at our level. If one is very hungry, one orders a bit more. There's no need to go home hungry. Regarding value: we're actually listed by Square Meal and Condé Nast among London's most affordable tasting menus. As a small, independent family business in Shoreditch (where rents and business rates are extremely high), we're working within tight margins while many restaurants around us are closing. What sets us apart: we're fully organic, wines, soft drinks, even our coffees and teas. Organic produce commands a premium in the UK, yet we charge the same for our organic wine by the glass as the pub next door charges for generic. Everything is made in-house, including our bread and ice creams, which is increasingly rare in London. We have no investor backing, just a family trying to maintain quality and sustainability in an environment where independent restaurants are disappearing at an alarming rate. For what we serve and how we serve it, we genuinely can't do it cheaper without compromising our values. We're grateful you chose to support a small business, and we hope to welcome you back!
