As the owner of the Black Cat Coffeehouse, I apologize you were misled regarding our veggie burger. We would never consider something vegan that contained eggs or any other animal product. Whoever told you that was absolutely in the wrong and I’m so sorry. The veggie burger is also served with cheddar cheese and chipotle mayo as well as a bun that contains egg so clearly not vegan. It does also say house-made vegetarian patty on the menu. We take dietary restrictions seriously and our staff are usually well educated on those restrictions so I can only guess this person was newly hired. I apologize you were given misinformation.
