A surprise find

We ate here simply because we were staying at the Jupiter Hotel and it ended up being my favourite meal of the trip. Lots of vegan options. Cocktails are also really good.

Pros: Great selection

Cons: Very busy!

A+ cocktail and impressive food

Ambiance: chic, earthy, verdant, colorful
Service: warm, relaxed, slightly disorganized.
Food: very good!

Our oolong Mai Tai was OUTSTANDING.

I'll eat my vegan hat if I ever find an omnivore place with all three:
1) an accurate and clear key that's applied across the menu
2) no errors
3) comprehensive explanations of what 'vegan option' means when it's not otherwise clear.

Here's the one here: the yellow curry is listed as a vegan option on the website, but the menus on site don't say that! That's what I got, and I would have missed out if I hadn't! It too was impressive (and colorful!).

Influencers Paradise Serving Extraordinary Vegan Options

Hey Love is located inside the Next Hotel and has some delicious vegan options that you will not find in most places. Hey Love is for the adventurous vegan—those who are picky eaters may not be able to appreciate the unique offerings.

Both the interior and exterior of Hey Love are designed with intense attention to detail and perfectly cater to a young influencer demographic. Instagrammable photo spots are plentiful here, along with many plants. Sharp lines, modern lighting, and uptempo music come together to form an excellent dining space. There is often a wait here, so we elected to eat in the lounge area.

The vegan options here are unique— I got the Bizarro Jerry, which is an openfaced toast topped with celery root cheese, smoked beats, chanterelles and more. At $13 for the entree, the value is good considering that most hotel restaurants are on the pricey side. The presentation was excellent.

The service was unique in that orders were placed online at the table via a QR code and then delivered to the table. When I visited, the restaurant was busy, so the wait was around 30 minutes.

If Happy Cow allowed 5 star ratings for non fully vegan restaurants, this place would earn 5 stars. Hey Love is a great option for vegans in the Portland area who are looking for something out of the ordinary and a lively atmosphere.

Pros: Unique vegan options, Good presentation, Good atmosphere

Cons: Not a fully vegan menu, Can be busy

Cute Restaurant with great vibes

We went on a Saturday night and it was busy (we waited 30 minutes at the bar for a table) but it was worth the wait. The restaurant is small and decorated nicely with plants all over the walls and ceiling. Vegan options were really tasty, and not too expensive for portland, we particularly liked the hummus and pitta and the caesar salad. The cocktails are strong but taste great - would definitely recommend the 2 slushy ones.

Pros: Really tasty vegan options , Super attentive and friendly staff, Great atmosphere

Cons: Quite small so can get busy, Need a US bank card to order through the app
