The staff was gracious about customizing our menu choice and the salads were delicious! The restaurant is tiny and quaint but clean with a rustic nature. Everything is homemade!

A Gem of Micanopy - Edit
Finished a day of hiking in Payne’s Prairie and was looking for nearby option. This place is your only option for many miles and was very surprised to learn about their vegan cheese, vegan sauce, and tempeh. Surprised how great it tasted and how cute the atmosphere was! It’s a great recommendation for those nearby Payne’s Prairie State Park or south Gainesville! I was definitely surprised by the options in small town Florida but this place was satisfying :)

Careful if ordering Tuscan hummus - Edit
Hummus is awesome, but was confirmed that they use butter on the pita bread that goes w it. Gave 3 stars bc most normal ppl don't associate dairy w a hummus dish.

Family owned & have always loved their thin crust pizza. Contrary to prior review, vegan sauce & vegan ‘cheese’ are available upon request. Tasty tossed salad for starter was yummy!

Staff very willing to veganize - Edit
There are no completely vegan options on the menu, but the staff are super willing to work with you to alter a meal to your liking. I feel like they get it, if you know what I mean. My favorite thing to order is the Tuscan Bean Piadine without the feta or parmesan. Once, I ordered a menu special as take out. I included a comment to leave off the cheese because I’m vegan. I received a friendly call a few minutes later because one of the other topping ingredients contained butter and honey. The extra time they took to clarify my order was very much appreciated. I give them five stars for service even if I can’t give them five stars for vegan food options.

Tasty pizzas and many choices for toppings - Edit
We spent three weeks in Micanopy and were very happy to find Blue Highway Pizza. We loved that they have tempeh and vegan mozzarella as toppings, as well as many vegetables such as artichoke hearts, roasted vegetables, sun dried tomatoes and so many more. Staff is friendly and willing to help. We also love the atmosphere of the restaurant (nice decoration and rock music).
