Cute & Quirky - Edit
This is a unique wee vegetarian cafe with such friendly staff! We went for Mother's Day, so it was pretty busy. They put on a special mother's day afternoon tea, and I was able to have a vegan one just by ordering in advance! Unfortunately I was given the vegetarian one by accident at first so that's the one in my photo, but the vegan one looks pretty much the same. That was my first time having a vegan cream horn!
Read moreIf you're a tea connoisseur you'll be especially pleased, because there's an entire menu dedicated to tea. We would love to come back and try the lunch menu - my partner had a wee (vegan) roast dinner instead of the afternoon tea and it looked fantastic. Overall the service here is just so lovely, and the setting is so fun; expect something quirky, unfussy and informal and you'll be very happy. Plus, there's another cottage in the garden which has a vintage shop inside it, have a look when you're done eating!
A lot of people struggle to find this place; it's easier to navigate towards South lissens pottery, but rather than turning into their gravel drive just keep going straight for another few hundred metres (if that).
Pros: Lovely staff, Vintage setting, Multiple vegan options
Cons: Slightly cold (bring layers 😅), Card machine struggles with signal - bring cash?

Charming little tearoom! - Edit
Loved this little place! We were the only ones there and so were seated next to the open fire, which on a cold and rainy day was so lovely! The food was wonderful and fairly priced. Waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Great food in an idyllic place tho a bit difficult to find if you're not approaching from Cullen, 3 miles away on the main road.

Vegan options available - Edit
Visited in May 2016 - nothing specifically marked as vegan on the menu but when we asked they offered a few options for a main course. Had a lovely potato rosti with a lovely tomato and pepper sauce. Vegetarian husband had a delicious ploughmans platter which included an excellent quiche.
