Vegan options for everything - Edit
Staff were lovely. You can tell this place would like to be vegan but can't because of the location. Vegan options for everything and all their takeaway items are vegan. I had Thai fritter salad and it was tasty. Also got scones and sausage rolls to take away and they were great too.
Read moreI was lucky to get a table on Good Friday, I'd recommend booking on weekends and BHs.

Lovely wee cafe - Edit
We drove up from Aberdeen to try the ND after hearing great reviews and we weren’t disappointed. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff on arrival. Mostly vegan menu (with the option of dairy milk or cheese). We both had the soup which was cauliflower today. My partner opted for the garlic mushroom & cheese toastie (i tried it and it was absolutely delicious) while I went for the coronation chickpea sandwich. I’d probably have liked a bit more sauce & a bit more curry flavour but it was jam-packed so no complaints. We’d have liked to try the cakes or dessert but we were just too full. All the more reason to return and try more menu options in the near future. It was pretty busy with a few customers being turned away so if you’re travelling specifically to eat here, i’d book a table in advance.

Yummy! - Edit
I was on a tour of the Moray Coast and we stopped in Cullen for lunch. So thankful for a vegan spot in this small town. Friendly service, delicious food, and amazing desserts! I had the onion bhaji salad and a slice of vanilla rose cake. Highly recommend!

We came across this lovely cafe and enjoyed a wonderful lunch with jackfruit buddah bowl and blueberry scones with Jam and cream. They have a great range of burgers, buddah bowls, and sweet and savoury waffles as well as cakes.

Very friendly service at The New Denver. We loved all the choice and left feeling extremely satisfied after a yummy lunch with generous portions.

Great space. - Edit
Large space on a corner aspect in beautiful Cullen. Offers and serves dairy cheese and dairy milk but most items are vegan. Delicious mushroom soup but arrived cool in an already cold cafe on what was a hot sunny day.

Thank you for your review. I however disagree with 3 stars just because our cafe was cool on a hot day!
Read moreYour soup was reheated at your request half way through your meal and you were happy enough when we discussed how I made the soup at the end of your visit. A shame one small business owner to another feels the need to leave such a low score.

You have me mixed up with someone else because I didn’t ask you to warm up my soup I ate mine as it was. Plus the cafe was cold not cool. And we didn’t discuss how you made your soup.
Read moreThree isn’t a low score it’s middling meaning there’s room for improvement. And seeing how you have responded to my review and mixed me up with someone else who seems to have also thought your soup was delivered to the table cold, I’d say there is definitely room for improvement.

We can agree to disagree! Being a small family run business we are aware of all customer orders etc and we pride ourselves on high standards. Unfortunately your view isn’t the same as many others but we are all entitled to our own opinions 😊.

Fabulous, family-run vegan cafe - Edit
Absolute gem of a cafe in Cullen. We had a delicious homemade soup and sandwich lunch, then returned the next day for breakfast. The Full Denver was amazing! Service was fast and super-friendly. Will definitely spread the word and return.

Lovely food - Edit
Run by the same lovely couple that previously ran The loft, the menu has been updated to include more savoury options, including baked tatties and burgers. The food is excellent and the service second to none. I can recommend the onion bhaji burger, and the sausage rolls in particular. Dog friendly, by arrangement.

100% Vegan Food - Edit
Visited on the first day of opening and will definitely be back. I had the hot dog with onions and a Viennese swirl with soya latte. It was huge and delicious. Even my meat eating hubby loved his Bhaji burger. It was a glorious day so we had it as a takeaway and we were on our bikes and wanted to sit overlooking Cullen Bay.
