disappointed!!!!!

ok, so after reading all the wonderful reviews this place got my family and I were really excited to try it out! 3 of us are vegan and 1 is not(our oldest daughter (11), is not vegan)so we were happy we could go to a place that could accomadate all of us. However, this did not happen. we came in on a sunday which is apparently a bad idea. they only serve a fancy shmancy brunch on sundays....all meat options...there was not one vegan thing on the menu we could get. we had to pack up and leave within 3 minutes of being there. was VERY disappointed. especially because we live about 45 min. away from this restaurant. im not sure we will even bother trying to go back another time. :(

Cons: only serves meat options on sundays, nothing vegan on the menu

Best black bean burger ever!

What a great find! My boyfriend and I were looking for vegan-friendly food on our way to Tough Mudder Indiana. We found The Bread Company; what luck! Really, the best black bean burger ever, spicy, moist, slightly charred on the outside, yum! Plus, homemade bread, spring greens, local tomatoes. They have a full vegan menu, including some amazing looking carrot cake that we were too stuffed to eat.

Amazing vegan and veggie food!!!

Yummiest, highest quality vegan food in all of central Illinois! I love this place, because it's fancy and they have so many options! I was a little apprehensive because they serve meat, I didn't know if they'd have a lot of vegan option, but their vegan menu (combined with the some vegan and easy-to-make vegan stuff on their other menu) has a ton of options. We had their falafel and fried tofu for appetizers and their vegan linguine and mediterranean pizze for entres, everything was sooo good. I had the vegan carrot cake for dessert; it was served warm and was really yummy. The only problem I had was butter being served with the bread at the beginning of the meal before we ordered. I asked my server about it and she apologized and said if we come again to tell the server right away that we're vegan and not to bring butter but to bring olive oil instead.

Pros: delicious food, a chef that understands what's vegan, vegan bread too!

Cons: prices a little high, butter served as option with bread
