Great original Japanese food! - Edit
I went there twice, I love it! I wish I could speak better japanese with the gals, they are so nice!
Read moreThe menu is really appealing, just tell you're a vegan and that will do. Their options are great, the food is perfectly prepared and cooked, the Ramen with Buckwheat noodle tastes delicious, and their menus are really cool! I think it's a bit pricey for the quantity though, if you just have a ramen you might get a bit hungry in the end. Problem is, you just wanna try everything, and it comes in small portions so you eat, eat, eat... and when the moment comes to pay... ouch ;)
Pros: real japanese food, great vegan options, really tasty and savory
Cons: pricey, not very comfy, small portions

Fresh and authentic - Edit
The food here is really authentic, fresh and delicious. The portions aren't huge but everything is freshly prepared in front of you. Vegan options are clearly marked and you can go for miso soup, teriyaki tofu or veggie sushi amongst other things.
Read moreThere is also a well-stocked shop at the back selling imported goods which I imagine would we great for a homesick Japanese person in Berlin :-)
Pros: Fresh, authentic
Cons: Small portions

Amazing vegan udon soup! - Edit
This place is simply great! I've tried a lot of dishes from vegan menu and it was very tasty, especially, udon soup and green out of rice rolls. But you must remember: this place isn't vegan and you can feel the smell of roast meat. And this is the one thing i don't like in Smart Deli.

Cons: isn't vegan, smell of roast meat

The Best Japanese Food in Berlin - Edit
As far as I've found, this is the best Japanese joint in Berlin.
Read moreThe food is fresh, authentic, and diverse.
There is a weekly changing menu, always with at-least 2 vegan options & vegan sushi sets. There's also a normal fixed menu with many vegan options clearly marked.
They also have a small grocery section with imported Japanese good. Very cool.
As others have noticed, the food is a little pricey and the portions are on the smaller side. However, I'm still giving it full points because it's just that much better than all the other Japanese food I've found in Berlin.
Pros: Excellent food, Authentic, Diverse selection
Cons: Slightly expensive

Smartdeli, Berlin - Edit
I had dinner here on Friday evening. The name is a bit misleading as it is very much a restaurant. The vegan items on the menu (and there's quite a number of them) are clearly marked. 6.50 euro of a big bowl of noddle soup. Some of the items are quite small.
Read moreThe staff who served me were very nice, perfectly polite. The decor and atmo is also OK.
If you are looking for somewhere in Berlin to eat with a friend who refuses to eat in an all vego restaurant, this could be a decent choice.
If this place was all vego I would defo rate if higher.
Pros: Vegan items clearly marked on the menu, Nice staff
Cons: Not 100% vego
