Delicious Italian Food - Edit
The food was so amazing here! Big portions and super filling Italian comfort food. We got the meatballs, garlic knots, eggplant parmesan and the bee sting pizza. They were all delicious, the pizza was definitely spicy coming from someone who loves spicy food. Definitely want to go back and try more that they have to offer!

What a shame they're closing - Edit
We wanted to check out this vegan/vegetarian pizzeria before it closed down and I'm glad we did! The pizza was tasty, the Italian soundtrack great, but what really blew me away was their vegan tiramisù! The service was perhaps a little slow, maybe because they've already started to downsize and they were understaffed. Overall, a shame that a veggie business is closing.

I love this place !!! - Edit
They have really great pizzas, all of which can be made vegan or vegetarian. It’s definitely the best vegan pizza I’ve had in town, and the tiramisu is excellent! They are switching to only takeout soon which is sad, but you still have until March 3rd to dine in. So yummy !!!

Unbelievable vegan Italian food - Edit
This has got to be some of the best vegan food and especially vegan Italian food I have ever eaten. I've eaten in Vancouver countless times and have no idea how this place has slipped my radar. We had the garlic knots, meatballs, peporoni Margherita, and lasagna.
Read moreWhen I say the flavor of every single one of these dishes was spot on, I am not lying, I literally can't think of better tasting vegan Italian food. Also, all their pasta dishes are gluten-free, so if you have someone who is GF in your party, this place is a no-brainer.
The only issue I had was that the restaurant was kind of loud as I prefer a quiet atmosphere, but that may have just been due to the other customers that were in there.
Pros: The food, The vegan options , The flavors

Wow, wow, wow! - Edit
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Authentic, Neapolitan vegan pizza… what more could you ask for?! We ordered the garlic knots, caesar salad, Boscaiola pizza (vegan), and Bee sting pizza (vegan). Everything was absolutely fantastic. Pizza portions were large enough that you could share with somebody if you’re not super hungry. LOVED both the garlic knots and caesar salad too. Our server was very nice and super attentive too. The only thing I’m bummed about is that I heard it used to be fully vegan and then decided to start serving dairy😒truly disappointing because the vegan cheese tasted incredible. Why decide to include cruelty on the menu?? Besides that, the food was delicious and I’d still come back to support their vegan options.

Incredible - Edit
Got the eggplant Parmesan and a pizza with potatoes. The marinara sauce is absolutely incredible. You can taste the freshness. The pizza was very rich and yummy. The Negronis were very strong but everything else was wonderful.

Really good! - Edit
We ordered a pie and lasagna. It was very delicious, but the homemade cheese really needed more salt which made both dishes a bit bland. The dough was great. I’d definitely eat here again and again.

Tasty pizzas with fun flavours - Edit
Had a great experience at Grano. Their pizzas and side dishes were incredible. Their pizza crust is perfect!! They have so many creative flavours, I will definitely need to go more than once to try them all! I highly recommend their artichoke and caramelized onion dip, it tastes like heaven.

Disappointing - Edit
Shocked to see how many positive reviews this place has. Pizza is mediocre at best, and servers are pretentious. Do yourself a favour: buy a plane ticket to Edmonton, get yourself a nice hotel room near Jasper, and hit up Die Pie. Even with the long journey and hundreds of extra dollars spent, you’ll wonder how you ever could have waited for mushy, flavourless pizza from Grano.

Very disappointed - Edit
I’ve visited a number of times but I’m very disappointed to hear they will no longer be a fully vegan establishment. They’ve recently announced the use of dairy on their instagram 💔 It means we are now down to just Virtuous Pie as the only vegan pizza shop in Vancouver. So if you love supporting vegan restaurants, I’d very much recommend going to Virtuous than Grano

best pizza I have ever had, vegan or not: - Edit
I didn't know this place was vegan! I would have come here years ago. Their signage, website and even menu doesn't make it obvious. Their patate pizza is one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. The crust was perfect. The negroni was well done and a good deal. Unknowingly, we showed up just before happy hour was ending and the kind server made sure when got our orders in and saved us a bunch of money. Can't wait to try the vegan tiramisu.

Garlic knots! - Edit
Absolutely loved the garlic knots! They were cooked to perfection and the provided marinara sauce was delicious as well. Also ordered a spinach artichoke dip which was good. Ordered the pesto pizza which was good but I probably would have more preferred a different one. They have Parmesan cheese which is a plus. #Veganuary

Not Impressed - Edit
I wasn’t really impressed with this place for a few reasons. First, and biggest reason is, the server was horrid. He was a good server technically by the books as in we had everything we needed in a timely manner without having to ask but his personality just SUCKED and the experience was made a lot worse because of it. Secondly, they do not have an option to build your own pizza. So I ended up having to choose a pizza and then remove half the toppings and replace them with others which made my order very complicated and the server was quite condescending about it. When I ordered a caesar salad after saying my pizza order, he said, “no other modifications on that?”, “you sure?”. I feel every pizza place has a build your own pizza so this was weird I was flat out told no. After my pizza order drama, I ended up not even liking my pizza. It had a very off taste but I tried my partners and his didnt have the same taste. They also covered it in parsley after I requested no parsley and had the order read back to me that way. The server never asked me if my pizza was okay, why I wasnt eating the pizza, or spending so much time picking off little pieces of parsley covering the pizza, he just gave me a box. They also don’t have any non carbonated, non alcoholic drinks other than water?? Another thing to note is all the pizzas only just have dollops of cheese, not a full base layer. Anyways, any place that is 100% vegan is nice to have around but I probably wouldn’t come back here.

Bellissimo! - Edit
Fantastic pizza joint with more options than just pizza. Great desserts and quality beer on tap. We were given scissors to cut our pizza which seemed odd but I hear it's an Italian thing. The dough was one of my favourites ever and the vegan cheese was amazing too. Service was friendly and accommodating. So far, my fav pizza joint in Van.
