Pizza craving checked! ✅ - Edit
Food was great! Tried the garlic knots, lasagna and a pizza both were amazing! Gave me that Italian styled cooked pizza. Definitely one of the better pizzas I’ve had. The lasagna was so good and definitely satisfied my lasagna craving! The cheese they use was amazing! Can’t wait to go back and try their dessert was stuffed by the end couldn’t do it. Staff was friendly we did fine in would go back to eat in again. Will definitely be back to try out more things from the menu! Highly recommend you check them out

Great food, traditional Italian pizza & food - Edit
We did take out of two pizzas, the meatballs and the tiramisu … all excellent. Will definitely be our go to pizza place here in Vancouver, way better than Virtuous Pie. The focaccia bread is also great that came with the meatballs.

Dirty and oily - Edit
Getting vibes that people leaving the reviews have really low standards or something.
Read moreOr perhaps our standards are high from having pizza at the Vegitaliano in Vaughn, Ontario.
Ordered 2 pizzas; they went overboard with the oil. Was soggy from excess oil, even the plate underneath had oil. Like yo, just drizzle the oil, don't pour it, damn.
Flavour was meh. The tomato sauce and dough just wasn't good.
Tiramisu wasn't up to snuff either. Overly sweet; didn't quite balance it right. (again, maybe high standards from having the best at Vegitaliano)
Staff is friendly.
Sanitation / hygiene is questionable. Found particles and floating bits in the water; not just the 1 bottle, but all of them. Glasses had stains.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Food, Sanitation / hygiene

Fills the pizza-shaped hole in my heart - Edit
I was really excited to try this place and it didn’t disappoint.
Read moreWe got the margherita (with added roasted garlic purée and whipped potatoes) and the diavola. Both were good, but the diavola was our favourite. The texture of the pepperoni was great!
I wasn’t a huge fan of the whipped potatoes I added to my margherita, but the roasted garlic was absolutely divine and I’d recommend adding it to every pizza on their menu.
We ordered in and the pizzas came with reheating instructions. We popped them in the oven and they came out perfect.
Looking forward to trying more of their menu!

The best - Edit
I love this place. Get a pie and no matter which one you get, add the whipped potato. Thank me later. Still have yet to try the lasagna, but I bet it amazing. #Veganuary

Vegan pizza and local beer - yes! - Edit
The only thing better than an all-vegan pizza shop is an all-vegan pizza shop that also offers local craft beers on tap (some in cans too). I ordered the Patate pizza, and really, really liked it: cashew béchamel base, whipped potatoes, cashew mozzarella, red onion, nutmeg, parsley. I drizzled some chili oil on top, for extra peppery-ness. It was ready quite quickly (order placed before noon on a Friday).
Read moreThere are four different bases to choose from, 16 different pizzas (or customized toppings) and great-sounding other things on the menu: antipasti (appetizers, salads and a delicious-sounding eggplant dish with house-made focaccia) and gelatos and sorbets. Oh, and tiramisu. I must get back there before I leave town!

Pizza Heaven - Edit
My gosh, so impressed by Pizzeria Grano... ordered take out and picked up a Margherita and a Pesto.
Read moreThe Margherita was out of this world... it’ll be hard to forget that ooey gooey blend of cashew mozz and tomato sauce deliciousness! Will definitely go back for this one. The Pesto I was a little less keen on, but more from personal preference than anything else. Found I’m not really a fan of artichoke on pizza, or maybe it was the zucchini, but I’ll skip this one in the future in favour of a creamy béchamel base with potato or sausage or go for the classic olive oil.
We didn’t eat in so cannot comment on the dine in service, but the staff was super quick and friendly while we waited, and the place seemed cosy and intimate. Great for date night, but pretty pricey for a quick takeout meal.
Pros: Cashew Mozzarella a winner!, Margherita pizza , Amazing doughy crust
Cons: Pricey

Virtuous Pie Watch Out - Edit
This is now what I would call the best vegan pizzeria in Vancouver. The dough is gorgeous and the toppings and sauce have an authentic Italian feel. The appetizers and desserts are amazing too (especially the tiramisu). Dining in is a great experience but ordering to go is just as tasty!

Best pizza and Tiramisu in Vancouver - 100% would come back again! - Edit
Had the Margherita, Capricciosa pizza and a beer on tap, ending with a Tiramisu and double Espresso.
Read moreMan, the dough on these pizzas were awesome, the Margherita pizza is very close to the authentic traditional Neapolitan Margherita - such great stuff to experience in vancouver!
The cashew cheese worked really well, however not as good as mozzarella cheese.
They served the pizzas in the traditional way, uncut with a knife and fork! They do give you a pair of funky looking angular scissors to cut the pizzas with.
Everything came out in less than 5 minutes - it was FAST and well executed.
The Tiramisu was sooo good, for a person who doesn't like coffee, this was fabulous. It leans on the sweeter side than bitter. The texture, taste, and the portion size, crazy! I loved it. It's definitely worth the money.
Double Espresso was great. Tap beer was awesome says the bf.
Super lovely staff.
Place is a bit small but it's cute :)
Great jobbbbbbb!!!!
The pesto pizza was rich, creamy, dense and delicious, it actually tasted of guac!
Tried the chilli oil this time too, it was interesting, tangy. It's not that spicy but it could choke you if you breathe it wrong lol.

Closest thing to Napoli Pizza you'll find in BC - Edit
So so good, pizza was the closest thing I've had to authentic Napolitano pizza.
Read moreI ate a lot of pizza in Napoli, around 70, all either Margherita or Marinara, so I know what they're about. I have been wanting to find pizza just like that in various countries, now that I'm vegan, and this is very very close.
The cashew cheese was really nice, and is a good Mozzarella substitute. The cheese was less nutty than cashew cheese I've tried before, in a good way. The sauce was really nice, and the fresh basil was fine of course. Not sure if there was olive oil on, couldn't tell. Dough was divine, can't fault it.
Side note, the pizza was ready super fast, 5 minutes or so. The tap lager was very nice, and the double espresso was also top notch.
Slightly expensive, but absolutely worth it.
Bellisimo.

Wow, legit - Edit
Pizza is phenomenal. It's not going to fulfill that craving for a cheesey neighborhood slice but it's an outstanding Neapolitan style pizza. The only thing I can compare it to is the Neapolitan at Pizzeria Libretto in Toronto, but this is better. I'll be trying them all in no time for sure, but could also just eat the diavalo every night.
