Worst Falafel in the World

I'm sad to say this restaurant, with vegan signs all over the front sold me the most expensive and disgusting falafel I've ever eaten.

The falafel balls were flavorless, wet mush, like a wad of toilet paper. The hummus was undetectable, making the rest of the sandwich dry. The pita was suspicious, tasted milky. The salad, was three or four tiny shreds of lettuce. For $10 US, the price wasn't the most taxing part of my visit.

What was, was this; I ordered and waited for my sandwich after the usual rundown of questions, milk for coffee, honey, a sack of puppies being stomped on in the back? Nope! 100% Vegan. So, I ordered.

Suddenly, the tv screen in the shop starts showing me mutilated chicken corpses being chopped and placed on a grill.

Do you serve chicken here? I asked.

Unfortunately no, the server says.

I thought this was a vegan place? What am I looking at? I asked about their marketing video.

This is an experiment, our other shop sells meat and chicken at-- [some address].

So, the experiment is to see if you can take money from vegans by having a second location?

Yes.

Horizontal marketing. There it is folks. Marketing by meat-heads to take money away from vegan owned and operated businesses.

It's beyond ghastly, in my opinion, that HappyCow doesn't allow a data column for vegan owned businesses. I was told it was too hard to verify. Not at all.

How do you know when someone is a willful animal abuser for profit? Don't worry they'll tell you!

I ask 100% of the places I go if the owners are vegan and only once did someone lie to me.

The rest are more than happy to admit their crimes against animals. Why? Well, because the see nothing wrong with it! They're not vegan, so why would they even know to lie, or have heard of the liberation pledge or understand veganism as an intentional boycott of animal abuse if they've clearly never checked to find out if it was more than just a diet?

I explained to the server that this was repulsive to me, and I'd lost my appetite and would not return. The second server said to send feedback to the owner. I said why? So they'll know to lie next time, replace the video of dead babies with fake vegan baloney? No, leave it up. Let everybody know where their money is going. To increase their business. Their business whose majority is financing and supporting the baby animal torture and execution industry.

The food was gross anyway. Can trust anti-vegans to make vegan food?

Unfortunately, no.

Oh stop being such an angry vegan. You’re scaring people away from being vegan. In fact all the vegans will stop being vegan because they won’t want people to think they’re all militant like you. I just want to relax, drink my almond latte, eat my açaí bowl, enjoy the vegan options at Burger King and go to fine-dining vegan restaurants without people lecturing me on animal slaughter, mutilation and abuse. You’re making me lose my appetite! I have a busy life and haven’t got time to think about this. Now if you’ll excuse me I was just about to go and have brunch and replace the eggs with scrambled tofu. I’m vegan.

Delicious hummus with good pita and decent falafel

Really small restaurant with delicious hummus. Different types of pita are available. I had a whole grain one which was good. The falafelb were not bad but also not a reason to go back.

As the name of the restaurant implies, the focus is on pita, hummus and falafel. There are a few other oriental dips but all the items on the menu are variations of pita with dip and falafel.
The place is rather small and has only a few sitting options available.

Pros: delicious hummus, good pita

Cons: not much variety, few sitting options

Good flavors, wasteful plastic

The Taste It All platter is a very satisfying meal for two, though we found the two pitas it includes aren’t enough to mop up all the tasty hummus, baba ganoush, etc., so you’ll probably need to order at least one more pita. When we ordered the falafel a la carte, we found it good yet not as impressively flavorful as the platter. The nicest thing about the falafel here is that they aren’t oily.

The main downside here is ecological: single-use plastic. Even when dining in, only plastic utensils are available. Take-out packaging here is also wasteful. Hopefully they will improve this in the future.

Must eat in Singapore!

We had the tasting platter and it was so delicious. The falafels were some of the best I have had and the baba was incredible. The only let down in my mind was the pita tasted a bit dry but everything else was top notch. Would recommend it if you're in Singapore.

Really good arabic food

Really tasty food!
First time there, we had the falafel sandwich, the second time we tried the 'taste it all' platter. Both were really good! Crispy falafel and various types of sauce, fresh salad and greeeeat pita!

Pros: Tasty food, Good and quick service, Cleanliness

One of the best meals in Singapore

We got the taste it all platter to try everything - and it was absolutely worth it. Delicious pita, hummus, baba ganoush, pickled veges, falafel, salad, tahini and two other dips that I’m not sure what they were (one was very spicy though). Food was amazing and service great. Highly recommend #Veganuary

Pros: Amazing food, Great service

Cons: Not a cheap option for Singapore

I have no words

The food is beyond amazing and delicious. I don’t think there are enough words in the dictionary to describe how delicious my meal was at this restaurant accurately. I ordered the taste platter, which came with two choices of pita bread, pita chips, falafel, three dips, and three small dishes. I was completely stuffed by the end and even ordered more pita bread to take home to finish my leftover hummus! On top of the delicious food, the service was excellent, as everyone was helpful and super friendly! Again, Singapore does not disappoint with its fantastic variety of delicious cuisine 😋 The only downside to my visit was not getting the names of the dishes for next time. #Veganuary

Pros: All vegan!, The food!, Not too far of a walk from the Bugis MRT

Good food

More limited menu than most Lebanese places I’ve eaten, but the vegan sandwich was yummy. Service wasn’t great and the cafe itself isn’t the best. It was good but I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to go there.

Pros: Vegan falafel sandwich

Cons: Service

Incredible falafel

This was one of the few places open when we were at Haji lane in the morning and we're lucky it was a vegan one. The lady serving us wasn't in the best mood and was pretty blunt taking our order, but luckily the food made up for the lukewarm service. We had the pita pockets and they were some of the tastiest falafel I've ever had.

Simply delicious!

We tired everything 😅. We ordered the Taste it All Plater and they gave us extra eggplant and coleslaw. It was so good, even my omnivore friend was happy and full by the end of the meal.

Crunchy falafel and soft pita

Cozy pita shop with classic pita pockets. $11 for the cheapest sandwich option, hence 4 stars.

Best Pita

This is such a great spot if you like pita/falafel/hummus/etc. The menu is simple but you can’t go wrong. We visited multiple times on our trip to Singapore and split the Taste It All between two people for lunch. I will be dreaming of this pita and babaganoush when I’m back home!

Pros: Perfect Pita, Great portions

Cons: Limited seating, Restaurant can be a bit warm

Delicious falafel pitta

Very tasty falafel pitta. The tahini is SO nice. Expensive, but this is Singapore so it's to be expected ($11 per pitta) and the pitta is generously filled. Went here a couple of times (sat in and takeaway) and had a good experience both times. #Veganuary

Pros: Nice falafel, Generous portions

Pita Bakery

Given how much of their food is fried and how much oil they chuck in the food, there's defo healthier options around. Their tahini though is out of this galaxy like some vegan equivalent of crack cocaine such is its addictive power; this makes for a wonderful falafel pita sandwich.

Pros: All vegan, Wonderful tahini

Cons: Food could be healthier

Had a pita with falafel and pita sticks. Both tasty. Just the pita was a bit too spicy even though I've ordered not spicy. Not sure if they did a mistake or I'm too weak ;)

Pros: Wonderful bakery, Hummus was super smooth and tasty, Around the corner from a vegan grocer

Cons: Nearby construction but don’t let that deter you
