We love Little Saigon!

My partner and I come here often - and this place actually got him to like tofu! The staff is wonderful and the interior is homey.

Just make sure to ask if a dish is made with fish sauce and egg, and omit if necessary. My favorites are Pad See Iew (no egg, with tofu), Pad Thai (no egg, no fish sauce, with tofu) and Sesame Tofu! The taro freeze is also phenomenal 💜

Pros: lovely staff, homey interior, yummy options

Cons: having to ask about sneaky ingredients

Quality food, if you're careful 😅

Many dishes can be made vegan by request. Outstanding rice and eggplant 🤤. Please confirm your request is vegan upfront. Note that the curries are not vegan (fish sauce), at least perJune 2022 discussion with someone working in Little Saigon.

Pros: Very well-done foods

Cons: Vegan items not clearly marked, Must take care to ask someone about vegan status

Large, customizable menu with great portion sizes.

Little Saigon is one of my regular restaurants because of its large, customizable menu. You can order almost anything with tofu instead of meat but it may be tricky to figure out if the sauce is vegan. There is a language barrier and I have had a hard time knowing for sure what's vegan so be advised.

Their freezes are fantastic and can be made with coconut milk. They normally are but double-check. Ask about including tapioca!

Summer rolls are my favorite appetizer and can be made vegan by replacing the meat with tofu. The fried tofu and seaweed salad are also great options.

They have many good entrees but I can not guarantee which ones are vegan based on the sauce. My favorite is the Pad Thai, order it with tofu and ask for no egg or fish sauce.

They told me their curry is NOT vegan because it's made with fish sauce.

They have a Chinese Vegetable Deluxe and a Thai Mixed Vegetable dish and I was told one is not vegan because of the sauce and can not remember which.

While there is a large menu to choose from, it can be tough navigating what options have non-vegan sauce. Overall, Little Saigon is one of my favorite Asian restaurants in town and is a great place to also bring non-vegan friends.

Pros: Large menu, Tofu can replace meat in almost all dishes, Coconut tapioca freezes!

Cons: Tough to know if entree sauce is vegan, Staff language barrier

Good Food

The food was pretty good. Idk about knock your socks off good, but it was passable. I didn’t think it was altogether authentic. It tasted very much like American style Asian food. It was above average American style Asian food, but maybe I didn’t try the right dish. I would have liked to taste more out of my comfort zone flavors. Overall, though, it was a good experience.

Pros: Good atmosphere , Good quality food

Wonderful!

My experience here was amazing. The staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate any vegan requests. There was not a veggie spring roll on the menu, but they made one for me with tofu. Definitely a stop for any vegan or vegetarian in Springfield.

Pros: vegan friendly, accommodating

Changed Ownership

Little Saigon changed ownership a bit ago and their food has suffered drastically because of it. The previous owners started a new restaurant in town, Thai Basil, with the same quality that Little Saigon used to have. I went to Little Saigon once after the ownership change and am not going back. I'd rather drive to Thai Basil. Much better food and service.

I like it!

I come here often for a quick tasty meal. I like the fresh spring rolls as an appetizer with a vegetable deluxe with tofu or a spicy asparagus dish with tofu. Make sure to ask for no fish or oyster sauce!

Pros: Friendly, Reasonably Priced, Fast Service

favorite place in springfield

everytime I visit they always seem excited to see me. great food, service, very reasonable prices. many veg options. the vegitable eggrolls are vegan(just a deepfried springroll) stay away from the curry if your vegan, it contains fish oil and they cannot prepare it without it. sesame tofu or crazy noodle with tofu and no egg are my usual.

Pros: great food, very friendly, large portions

Cons: weary of fish oil in dishes

sorry, i assume that most vegitarians, having half-assed diets, will justify their exceptions of what they find acceptable to be vegitarian. I couldnt possibly keep up with what they find accetable to eat so i dont consider them in my reviews.

Best tofu I've had

I usually the get the crystal noodles with vegtables and tofu stir fry and it's great. The tofu in the dish is always excellent. Their tofu appetizer was a little over fried I thought. Their spring rolls are good. They are flexible and can adjust an item in spiciness if you request. Something different than the usual fare.

Pros: good portions, excellent food, large seating area
