Serves meat, vegan options available. Has falafels that may be vegan suitable - ask. Previously located on Storg. 14. REPORTED BUILDING TORN DOWN IN 2014.
this review is for the take away location near the brugata stop...there is a larger habibi just right around the corner that was more of a restaurant. we chose this location because it looked as though the restaurant hadn't opened yet and we were starving. this smaller location, however, did not disappoint! my husband and i both ordered the falafel platter with the works for 60kr (or thereabouts) each. each platter had five huge falafel balls, tomatoes, lettuce, corn, sliced and seasoned onion, a good handful of french fries and hot fluffy pita bread. it also came with a spicy chili sauce, garlic tahini sauce, some kind of mild red sauce and a bit of mayo. if you're vegan, be sure to mention no mayo and to inquire about the ingredients of the other sauces or just forgo them completely.
as a bonus, there was free wi-fi that came up here!
We tried the Habibi Cafe during our stay in Oslo. It was one of the cheapest places we found. Reaaaaaaaally good food, friendly staff, a lot of choice. And portions are...AMAZING. You have like half a dozen different plates and you pick food in every plate. Clean restaurant, friendly atmosphere.
