Organic cafe serving Latvian meals that are now all-vegetarian, vegan, or raw (no more fish or meat) and are listed daily on its webpage. Moved from Rupniecibas 11. Reported closed to HappyCow , June 2014.
This is a warm place in mood and atmosphere. The staff is friendly and this place has a nice vibe. The food is good and tasty, not vegan, but geared fully toward non-GMO ingredients. The prices are very good
Ekovirtue has so much going for it - great atmosphere, really helpful staff and a lot of items we struggled to find anywhere else in Riga (soya milk particularly seems to be non-existant there!). It was also very handily located for us as our hotel was one street away! Unfortunately the meal offered to us of mustard seeds fried with cabbage was pretty unappetising though on the plus side the staff HAD made 100% sure it was vegan! Seems to be very much hit and miss depending on which items you choose.
My 1st time in this cafe, it bills itself as being the 1st organic eating place in Riga. It's not 100% vegetarian. Still no problem getting a tasty vegan meal. Pleasant and helpful staff. The beetroot soup and then the mixed bean chilli and rice very both good. The bean chilli wasn't very spicy at all I am pleased to say but if in doubt ask the staff. Pleasant atmosphere I would have given this place a higher overall rating below if it was 100% vegetarian.
