New ownership - great service

I could explain to the staff (in Japanese) how I read online that they have some veg-friendly options in their buffet. The staff explained how there is new ownership of the company, and some of the older buffet options had disappeared. One of the staff was very helpful and gave me a tour through what I could eat, but she was apologizing because mainly the only vegan food was the salad bar and rice. The salad bar included unlimited kale and avocado, and 1 vegan dressing. As someone who loves kale and avocados (both of which are expensive in Japan!), I was very happy and made some giant salads for myself. The staff, seeming to pity me eating only salad, 30 minutes later sent out two homemade dishes of Japanese seasoned tofu and grilled vegetables. The whole kitchen seemed to get together to accommodate me, I was touched. I've been in Japan for years now but never had such thoughtful service, especially at a chain restaurant! I am very grateful (and stuffed!), and my non-veg friends accompanying me also really enjoyed the buffet as well.

Pros: Amazing service, All-you-can-eat

Cons: New ownership = less veg-friendly menu, Need to speak Japanese to confirm the veg options
