Regular all you can eat Chinese style buffet

Shaolin temple just around the corner therefore you could feed two birds with one one bowl. Before or after visiting the restaurant you could journey over to the temple.

The food is probably vegan but definitely vegetarian as the monks eat here although there are raw fruits and slightly steamed/boiled vegetables on offer.

The cooked food is mostly oily but delicious none the less. Costs 33 RMB so it's great value for money.

As always come on time to get the best servings. Very popular with the locals and monks.

Pros: lots of vegetable, fruit and soup options, nicely decorated and AC'ed place, cheap and tasty

Cons: not close to Downton, slightly oily, Very busy if you arrive late

Quality buffet

This large buffet restaurant has a lovely interior and an outdoor patio with seating. There is an extensive selection of good quality Fujian-style dishes to choose from.
It is quite easy to find as it is located in a corner building on a main road with three large signs in Chinese.
28 yuan for all-you-can eat is definitely worth it for the quality and ambience. There are discounts for children, students, and seniors.
I would definitely recommend eating here while you are in Quanzhou.

Pros: Extensive selection of food, great ambience

Cons: no English spoken, slightly more expensive than other veggie buffets, a few dishes may contain dairy
