"It's Greek to me"

I'm glad I got to go to this authentic Greek restaurant before they transition to strictly catering and a food truck and their brick-and-mortar presence is no longer; however, after having gone and lost my "Parthenon virginity" I hate that my honest review is to type I don't understand the hype. In other words: "It's all Greek to me." As a vegan, I didn't do my due diligence, and, as a result, I had a hard time getting too excited about any of the food, BUT it was fun to eat out on the patio and my [non-veg] friend I talked into going with me remains a big fan of The Parthenon. She even bought some desserts to take home and share with her [vegetarian] sister, per her plea.

Pros: Fun outdoor patio seating, wide variety of authentic Greek cuisine on menu, & wonderful waitress - warm, knowledgeable & fast!

Cons: Their last day, at this southeast Lincoln location, is this Sunday, June 19, 2022.

Friendly and accomodating

The Parthenon has a great assortment of vegan options. In addition to their separate menu listing of 4 entree items, there are others that can easily be modified if you don't mind asking the usual vegan questions. The owner is great, and occasionally comes out to talk to us about the vegan options and asks for feedback. Sometimes things are a little heavy on the oil and salt, but IMHO when you opt for Greek food it's not usually to save on calories :-) The portions are large, and it's a wonderful environment. They often have special dining nights, and there is usually a vegetarian/vegan option for those menus. During nice weather months their outdoor seating is available, and they have a weekly "bring your dog" event! Extensive wine menu also available.

Pros: vegan menu, knowledgeable/friendly/accomodating, family atmosphere

Cons: not strickly veg, salt/oil heavy on occasion

Veg Friendly Greek Food

The Parthenon has a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It's a good idea to ask about butter and cheese when ordering. I enjoy the Veggie Wrap from the Shred Diet menu but ask them to make it vegan.

Pros: Good veg choices, Friendly staff, Big portions

Cons: Use of oil generous
