I will miss this market!

Great market with a huuuuge selection of fresh and delicious fruits, vegetables and spices. Prices are surprisingly low, and if you know Ukrainian you can try to bargain (but if not it's still cheap). It is worth coming just for the sake of seeing this market. Amazing atmosphere.

Watch out! If you are sensitive to the sight of meat and fish then avoid certain parts of the market. Some fish species are killed at the market...

Typical local fruit / Great prices

You will not find better deals on local produce than at this large semi-enclosed market. half a US dollar for 6 super sweet and delicious peaches, and I was told tourists tend to pay more.

Pros: Great quality local fruit

Cons: most stalls have the same fruit and veggies

The biggest and most famous farmer’s market in the city

I always buy my veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds here. Prices are lower than in supermarkets and you can haggle

Pros: Variety of fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds

Cons: Crowded, Cash only

Fruit and veg

Massive open market for buying fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Not vegan cooked food here, it is just a market for buying your groceries for cooking food yourself. Cheaper than super market in the area. Bonus is you can do your shopping completely plastic free if you bring your own containers!(zero waste)

Pros: Cheap , Lots of variety , Zero Waste

Cons: No cooked food or specific vegan substitutes , Animal flesh also sold nearby

Huge crowded market, no vegetarian meals

This is by far the most crowded place in Odessa. The market is huge and has everything from food, electronics, household, clothing, ...

What we didn't find is quality warm meals. Neither vegetarian nor vegan - just the usual street junk food.

Pros: Fruit, nuts, etc, all is there

Cons: No vegan or vegetarian meals
