I love Poke Bros

My husband and I moved to the Gladstone Park neighborhood last year and it's nearly a vegan food desert. Luckily, I've found that the nearby suburbs have options for me. I've become a regular at this small chain franchise.

You can choose a veggie bowl with rice or salad base or a mix, and then you add your toppings. There are plenty of great veggies to choose from. They give me more tofu since it's my protein.

Vegan options: Edamame, Corn, Cucumber, Jalapeno, Carrots, Green Onion, Cashew, Sesame Seeds, Crispy Onion, Pineapple, Toasted Coconut, Ginger, Wonton Chips. And I add avocado for an additional charge. Vegan Sauces: Gochujang, Ponzu, Sriracha.

You always get a large portion at an affordable price. There are seats indoors and there's a nice shared outdoor patio outside as well. The staff is always very friendly. We are some of the few still masking and they always mask up when they see us coming in which is so kind since we have never asked this. I love this place.

Pros: Options, Portions, Friendliness

Cons: No standard vegan bowl
