Wow! - Edit
This is located in a NYC Chinatown shopping/food mall. Nothing fancy--you order at the kiosk, grab a stool, and wait for the vegan sushi, which they prepare in front of you. But the sushi is great--as good a vegan sushi as I've had anywhere.
Read moreThere is no dessert here--but you can get some if you want at the Lazy Sundays kiosk in the same mall.
Pros: Great sushi, available restroom
Cons: Not fancy, not waiter served--just good food

Incredible sushi! - Edit
We loooove oh dahon, and we're so pleasantly surprised!! It can take them some time to make the sushi, but it's a small operation so it makes sense. But having had some of the best sushi in the bay area, we think this place compares! It's so so good. Highly recommend!

The best vegan sushi I've had! - Edit
I used to frequently go to the Canal Street Market to Bonsai Kakigori which closed😒 but excited to have a reason to go back!
Read moreI asked the sushi chef for recommendations of what to start with because the whole menu looked good to me. He suggested the Dahon signature roll, the truffle avocado oshizushi, the Pad Thai slaw and then we chose the carrot lox jalapeno roll. We thought everything was delicious, hard to choose a favorite but it came down to the Signature and the Carrot Lox rolls, both had surprisingly complex delicious flavors and textures, the truffle avocado was also yummy but more as expected, my flexitarian friend like the crunchiness of the Pad Thai but I found the flavor a bit underwhelming, I expected the peanut sauce to come through more than it did.
We ordered takeaway and stepped away to browse the rest of the market while our order was being made (bought some yummy vegan truffles from Daniel Corpus Chocolatier in another stall!) but when we returned saw 4 people who sat down at the counter after we ordered were having their food prepared, served to them, even ate and left before we got our order, so that wasn't great because we were on our lunch break from work and still had to get back to the office and eat! But considering there was only one person working the counter and making the food, quite understable that it is tough to juggle dining in customers with takeaway orders.
Also because we got takeaway I guess was the reason we didn't get any soy sauce or wasabi which I noticed the people at the counter had received with their meals, so heads up you may need to request them if you do to-go order and want this but honestly everything was so delicious and flavorful without out it. We are already planning a trip back to dine in, it really was the best vegan sushi I've ever had.
Pros: 100% vegan yumminess , Fresh interesting flavors , Fun market setting

Delicious specialty vegan sushi - Edit
This is vegan sushi done right! Tons of texture and flavor. I got the specialty roll and the miso eggplant and they were both excellent, especially the specialty roll because it had some crunch to it! The atmosphere is lively and it's fun to watch them make the sushi while you wait.

Delicious and creative! - Edit
The food here was absolutely delicious! I loved the avocado truffle sushi! Only downside is that it’s a little expensive but it’s not out of the ordinary for New york. Highly recommend!!!

AMAZING & Flavorful Plant Sushi - Edit
Brand new plant based sushi restaurant in Canal Street Market. Truly the best plant sushi I’ve ever had. The eggplant nigiri was my favorite but the other two rolls (watermelon tartare & king oyster nigiri) were also delicious! Definitely check them out for a quick lunch!
