Nectar’s buffalo cauliflower is my favorite. Try the Buffalo Salad or Cauliflower Buffalo Wings. Good vibes, lots of vegan options, fair prices.

Taking our 33 year old Pilot son to Sacramento from Nevada City for his shift, we wanted some place vegan/veggie to eat at. We found Nectar Cafe on a search and decided to go.
Read moreOrdered two taco plates so we could share one of each with each other, but realized that they were Chorizo and Portobello both, Oh well. YUM!
And we ordered the the Howdy nectar patty. Double YUM.
We will be going back when in the area.

Pros: Service was friendly and welcoming., Inside was nice and roomy, Food was awesome and hot.
Cons: salsa was good, chips were bag brand.

Update: 8/18/2023: I just wanted to follow up on my prior review to say how nice the staff is and let everyone know that the food quality is amazing! The Thai bowl is probably one of my top 3 favorite meals.

I had the tempeh reuben sandwich and it is just the best sandwich ever. It comes with a small salad with a tasty dressing on the side. I also had a rosemary lemonade which was really good too😊 highly recommend this place 💕

I love this place and stop here often after a hike in beautiful Auburn. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I usually go straight for the curry bowl or wrap, but I have tried many other items in the menu and everything has been excellent!

I love to stop here when I’m crossing the Sierras. This cafe has everything you could want. Delicious home made vegan food and VEGAN GELATO!!! Me and my family sat out on a gorgeous sunny day eating out desert while my littles played in the beautiful city owned courtyard in front.

This little gem has the most delicious, made fresh daily vegan/vegetarian food! My favorites are the Nachos and Buffalo Cauliflower! Staff is so friendly and attentive!

Love this cute cafe in downtown Auburn. Vegetarian cafe with everything being able to be made vegan. Love the Tempeh Reuben sandwich, tacos, wraps, salads. Everything is fresh and very flavorful.

The vegan/organic food here is tasty and mostly healthy. The service, however, is leisurely bordering on somnambulant. A forty-five minute wait for a couple of basic sandwiches is just not acceptable, particularly as the restaurant was only half full. As for ambiance, the watchword seems to be AS LOUD AS WE CAN MAKE IT!! Perhaps it never occurred to this health food staff that a pumped up music system does not make for good digestion. Neither does the air conditioning on a cool day. I give it three stars mostly for the good food. You might want to consider take-away — but order ahead of time. Way ahead of time.

It's not bad to stop in when I'm visiting Auburn, but the food is a bit overpriced and bland. I got the enchiladas that were very dry and came with a tiny portion of cashew cheese sauce that didn't add enough flavor. Portions were on the small side.
