The are a couple of vegan flavors well indicated, like dark chocolate and pistachio. The price is good, 2,5€ per scoop, but you have to pay 1€ extra if you want a vegan cone.

We chose this ice cream parlour because it was close to where we were, and it was one of the best choices we could have ever made. They have quite a few vegan options, such as fruit sorbets, but also some non dairy ones. I tried the pistachio one, and it was creamy and delicious.

Read moreThere are two Luculus shops: A smaller one near the slovak national theater without seating and the bigger main shop near the bridge where you can also sit and enjoy your icecream. The staff was really nice and the vegan ice creams are labeled "vegan" and the sorbets as well as the cones (!) are vegan as well!
I had the coconut and the mango sorbet and they were both really tasty! One scoop costs 2€ and a special cone (colored or with sprinkles) costs an additional 1€.

The pistachio ice cream was just divine, really! I also had the coconut sorbet, which was good, but not outstanding.

Be sure to mention „vegan pistachio“, as they have a not-vegan version as well.

I am the biggest ice cream lover! But I don’t like fruity flavours of ice cream. When I realized how many options of vegan ice cream they offer, I was so amazed. I guess I never ate something as delicios as this ice cream. I would give more than 5 if possible!

Only three vegan options available when I visited, and I wound up trying the pistachio. Definitely closer to regular ice cream than it is to gelato, but very good. Smooth, creamy, right level of cold. €2.50 for a couple small-ish scoops on a vegan cone, good snack size when walking about.

Most likely THE ice cream place in Bratislava for locals and tourists alike, and you can always tell by the huge lines leading into the parlor every time you come for some sweet treat during (not only) summer days 😜

My personal favorites are raspberry sorbet and pistachio but truth be told, you can't really go wrong with this place and I am sure you will enjoy whatever flavor you will pick that day from their regularly changing selection. So why only 4 stars?
Simply put, personal preference. Luculus is serving what is usually called 'Balkan/Adriatic' style of ice cream, and I simply prefer traditional Italian gelato that feels lighter (yet creamier) and less sweet. Therefore, I will always prefer the likes of gelato parlors - such as Koun or I Nonni ❤.
Pros: Good selection, Not only sorbets but creamy flavors as well, Offer changes regularly
Cons: Huge lines, I personally prefer gelato

Big choice of vegan ice cream and I especially appreciate that they offer the flavors of almond or chocolate and not just the fruit gelato. And the Italian staff is very nice and they make a show for you while they deserve you an ice cream, so you are leaving Luculus with a smile and delicious vegan ice cream.

When i have a taste for delicious vegan icecream i chose all the time Luculus. The service is super kind, the taste is super sweet, contain healthy ingredients, you can add chopped nuts on the top i you want, they had also vegan cornet and many flavors of vegan icecreams.

Sometimes I have feeling it is too sweet, compared to Koun, that is more ont he healthy side... But it is icecream. And it is delicious. mango is my personal favorite. Coconut is delicious. Sometimes they have crazy kinds like guacamole or black icecream from coconut ash. Basic coun is also vegan. Great experience.
