No vegan options on the menu - Edit
You have to ask them to make you something vegan. I came here for breakfast and they made something up - just tortillas in a bean sauce with boiled nopal. It was nice but underwhelming. Maybe their lunch options are a little better. It was extremely cheap though - 100 pesos for two meals and 2 coffees. Come if you’re broke.

Cute, low-key spot south of the zocalo - Edit
Found this place by accident and was happy I did. It's a bit out from the tourist area of the center, but worth stopping by while exploring the neighborhood. The chef was happy to whip me up some delicious vegan steamed greens with an avocado salad. The menu is mostly veg, with some meat items. The interior is cool and comfortable, and was surprised to hear Pink Floyd playing. Check this spot out, especially for an early breakfast or lunch. Note that it is closed on weekends.
