Amazing location, good vegan choices.

During our walk through the beatiful parklands on Wyspa Bolko (Bolko Island) we went to Laba to a coffee and some cake. They have a nice selection of vegan sweets, like raw cakes and cremes.

The location right next to the lake is abolutely awesome and the cakes we orderes were very nice. We also got some of their cold brew coffee, which I can recommend as well. Given the price level of Opole, it was a little on the expensive side. We did not inquire about the vegan mains but gauging from what we saw on other peoples' plates the food could be nice, too.

Pros: Great location in a lovely park, Lots of vegan choices

AMAZING vegan, veggie & gf choices!

As with most of Opole, the menu is only in Polish but the guy serving was fabulous & we managed to narrow my preferred option down to a warm beetroot risotto-type dish with some green paste (broccoli purée with a bit of garlic???) and a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds. Wow, simply delicious. I also had a spinach & something-or-other juice and a really good quality coffee. The vegan/veggie options are extensive, with things on the main menu boards behind the counter (pretty sure the things written in green apply - but better check!) ... and then, displayed above the cake counter, is the entire v menu with everything on there from pasta to salad to rice to baguettes. I definitely recommend the ricey-beetrootey thing as a wholesome, nutritious & filling choice. Price-wise, it's not cheap, with main meal & juice costing 35zl (£6 / €8) but it's well worth it. I might also add that the location is gorgeous. Laba is right next to a small lake, surrounded by trees. Your seating choices include regular dining chairs, comfy chairs, deck chairs & hammocks. The surroundings are gorgeous. Oh, and the position on the Happy Cow map is accurate - it can be a bit tricky to find with all of the paths in the park but if you find the water, you find Laba.
