Primary veg stop - Edit
Jewel is the heart of grocery shopping in the Chicago area, the only place in Illinois with this chain of stores. Jewel is stocked with cheap produce, bulk items like rice, beans, etc. It carries basic vegan milks, gardein brand, and basic health foods. All things necessary for a healthy vegan. It is THE best store for ready-made vegan delicacies such as Amy's vegan frozen pizzas, daiya shredded cheddar and mozzarella "cheeses," also, daiya boxed macaroni and cheese. I have yet to see these specific selections at other grocery stores, like Wal Mart.
