Tasty food and good staff but needs more options and protein

I came across Humble Grape which has a branch nearby. It's styled as a wine bar but the food is bistro/restaurant style and it's a nice cosy setting. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the wine - they explained about why some of it is not labelled as vegan, and how there are different classifications. They had some wine marked as vegan on the menu.

On the food, I had the mushroom 'steak' with polenta chips, peppercorn sauce and watercress, with spicy crispy cauliflower on the side. The main tasted fantastic, though they are just grilled mushrooms rather than the processed version of steak you can buy. As such it's a bit lacking in protein overall.

In general lots of these types of places don't have many options, so it's good to have one and if you have friends who unfortunately want to eat animals it's a place where you can also have a decent plate. But they need more options and more protein sources.

Pros: Taste, Ambience, Knowledge of staff

Cons: Little protein, Fairly expensive, Not enough options
