Great coffee, vegan pastries, friendly folks

Hip but friendly urban coffee shop in a nice neighborhood. Not a restaurant, just a small case of pastries, but those are truly handmade and always all vegan. Coffee is out of this world. Dog friendly. Update: outdoor seating only now.

Pros: amazing coffee - roasted on site!, vegan pastries & donuts, friendly attentive baristas

Cons: no public restroom, outdoor seating only

Yummy pastries and good coffee

This place was cute and lovely. The staff were very nice! I loved how all of the pastries were vegan. Though they do serve cow’s milk... I don’t understand people 🤷‍♀️ I tried their lavender syrup and it was very lovely!

Pros: All pastries are vegan

Cons: A tiny bit pricey

compact & cohesive

Heartwork’s coffee is delicious and powerful.

Pros: occasional taco stand with vegan option/s, lots of natural light

Cons: only have vegan pastries a few days a week, menu isn’t intuitive (bc of inconsistent signage)

Coffee!!

This place turned me on to oat milk, and I’m forever grateful because I was trying to quit soy, and don’t care for almond milk or coconut milk all that much. Their oat milk lattes are the [censored].

Pros: Oat milk, Vegan pastries

I had high hopes, but...

A friend had recommended Heartwork to me because she knows I’m vegan. She told me they had delicious vegan baked goods and had oat milk to make drinks with. So I was super excited to try them out. Here’s the good the vegan pastries were always delicious, and of the 4 times I went in they always had a nice selection of them. Sadly of the those times I went in only once was my coffee drink good. My friend had raved about their lattes, so I was stoked to try them but only once did my drink taste really delicious. My other issue was customer service. Of the 4 times I went in I would say 2 times I had good customer service experiences, especially on Christmas Day the crew working on that day were really nice, and the other 2 times I went the customer service was Not so good. The last time I went in was the worst and it due to it I decided I wouldn’t be going back again. Having vegan options is such a big plus and the coffee shop itself is really cute, but when you get really bad customer service it basically counter acts all the good points. As I said it’s a cute place, they have good vegan baked goods, they offer plant based milks, but there is a lack of good customer service by some not all of the employees.

Pros: Vegan Pastries (not made in house) , Oat Milk and other plant based milk options

Cons: Customer Service issues , Taste of the coffee drinks
